Hello APTi and Happy New Year! My name is Doug Woodworth, and I have served as president of APTi throughout 2019. I’m very pleased to be sending this update to our members globally as we launch into 2020. The first order of business is to provide an update on the APTI Presidency for 2020. The presidency of APTi and the Board consists of a President-Elect, a President and a Past President. Each position is a one-year term. A person who is elected as President-Elect will serve a presidential term of three years. The individual should have previous experience in the organizational aspects of APTi at the chapter, regional, national or international level. Evelyn Lemoine who served as president-elect for 2019 has now assumed the presidency for 2020. And many congratulations to Tim Beggs who will now be serving as President-Elect for 2020. I’ve attached bios for both Evelyn and Tim to provide you with more detailed background. Both Evelyn and Tim have been involved with APTI, and the Board of Directors, in different capacities for several years now. In addition, they both share strong connections with our chapters which is something we all hope to build upon. We are thrilled and honored to have them care for the heritage and the future of our Association. I would also like to thank the rest of the Board for their commitment, passion and service to APTI; Eileen Brown, Maryanne DiMarzo, Carol Linden and Susan Nash. Bios for all of APTI’s Board of Directors are available on our website. Being a member of the board of APTI is a volunteer service. Please join me in thanking the board for all the time and effort that they have put into our association over so many years. Our association has strong history and heritage, dating back more than 40 years. We need to work together, now more than ever, to ensure the relevance and sustainability of our mission to be the independent voice for psychological type, and to promote human understanding through the transformative power of type. APTi is a diverse, global, fascinating and eclectic group of individuals who have all found our way to psychological type, coming from a broad range of industries, professions and areas of interest. Your membership and involvement with APTI is greatly appreciated and we hope to see you at the APTI conference this coming July! Warmest regards on behalf of APTi’s Board of Directors, Doug Woodworth
