Jung's theory of personality is the basis for the MBTI and understanding his theory enables us to work much more deeply with individuals and teams on the results of their assessments.

  • This presentation will answer the following questions:

  • What is a Jungian approach to coaching?

  • How can the coach best prepare him/her-self for their work?

  • What is a wounded healer and how does the idea work in coaching?

  • How do you balance the expectations of the corporate environment and support transformational change in your client?

  • What is group coaching

We will learn how a Jungian approach to coaching translates into the ability to:

  • Ask questions that a client in the direction appropriate to their life
  • Understand the importance of root cause
  • Take advantage of symbolism and metaphor that may surface during sessions
  • Be comfortable with paradox and intangibles

Carl Gustav Jung lived from 1875-1961.  He gave his life to developing Analytical Psychology in an effort to provide greater support to the individual in the development of their psyche.  He emphasized consciousness and spent 16 years immersed in a personal effort to develop his own consciousness.  Jung provided a great step change in our thinking about development and maturity.  His stages include Confession; Elucidation; Education; and Transformation.  We will discuss these as they relate to the stages of Aspiration; Assessment; Coaching; and Transfer.
